Term and Condition

  • 1 General Rules
    • Participants are specifically limited to Dermatology and Venereology Specialists or Dermatology and Venereology Residency Program (PPDS) participants.
    • The extended abstract may consist of research or case reports in the field of Dermatology and Venereology that have not been previously presented at any national or international meetings.
    • The extended abstract must be prepared based on ethical and valid scientific and/or clinical methods.
    • Trade names (of drugs and/or equipment) must not be included in the title. If brand names appear in the extended abstract, they must be written after the generic name in the following format: generic name (brand name®).
    • Treatments or other substances mentioned in the material must be identified by their scientific names.
    • The decision regarding oral presentation or E-poster is the sole discretion of the committee. This decision is final and cannot be contested.
    • An extended abstract will only be accepted if the author is registered as a PIT participant and provides proof of registration fee payment.
    • The completed extended abstract and the publication consent form must be submitted via email to karyailmiahPIT2025@gmail.com from May 9, 2025, to June 20, 2025, at 3:00 PM WIB. The submission must include the full name of the primary author (with academic title), title, institution, city, and contact number.
    • Authors cannot modify an extended abstract once it has been submitted.
    • Each participant may compete in the scientific paper competition as the primary author for a maximum of one (1) submission.
    • Selected extended abstracts will be published in the national journal Media Dermato-Venereologica Indonesiana (MDVI). Authors of selected abstracts must agree to all publication requirements, including revisions and additional publication-related costs. Selected extended abstracts may not be submitted to any other scientific publication media for three months after the announcement of the selected abstracts.
    • It is strictly prohibited to submit the related extended abstract to any other scientific publication media until the conclusion of PIT 2025.
  • 2 Writing Guidelines.
    • The extended abstract must consist of a minimum of 4 pages and a maximum of 5 pages (including images, tables, and references).
    • The extended abstract must include the title, author(s) (without academic titles), institution (without address), city, phone number, and email address of the participant.
    • The extended abstract must be written in Indonesian, using Microsoft Word format, Times New Roman font, size 11, with single spacing. The page margins should be 3 cm on the top, bottom, right, and left sides. Single spacing should be used between paragraphs. Paper size must be A4 (21 × 29.7 cm). The title must be written in uppercase letters, in Times New Roman, size 14, bold, and centered.
    • An abstract must be written in Indonesian, followed by an English translation.
    • The abstract should provide a concise and clear summary of the research/case report, consisting of a maximum of 250 words (excluding the title, author, and affiliation, counted from the word "Abstract"). The abstract must include keywords (maximum of 5 words) and must be written in italics.
    • The abstract should be written in a single paragraph using a structured abstract format.
    • For research abstracts, the subheadings must include: Introduction, Objective, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
    • For case report abstracts, the subheadings must include: Introduction, Case Report, Discussion, and Conclusion.
    • Each subheading must be written in Times New Roman, size 11, bold, and sentence case format.
    • Extended Abstract Structure: Original Research The extended abstract for original research must include: Abstract, Introduction (including Background, Research Problem, Objectives, and Benefits), Research Methods, Research Results, Discussion, Conclusion, References (Vancouver style).
    • Case Report The extended abstract for case reports must include: Abstract, Introduction (including Background, Objectives, and Benefits), Case Illustration, Discussion, Conclusion, References (Vancouver style).
    • The reference list must be written using the Vancouver citation style. The use of Mendeley or EndNote software is recommended for reference management. The total number of references should not exceed 20 sources.
  • 3 Presentation Guidelines
    • Presentasi Oral :
      • Duration: 8 minutes (5 minutes for presentation, 2 minutes for Q&A, 1 minute for transition)
      • Slides should be in Microsoft PowerPoint format and made in English.
      • The language used for the presentation is Indonesian.
      • The deadline for submitting the slides is August 26, 2025, at 3:00 PM WIB.
      • Participants are expected to bring a soft copy during the presentation.
      • The PowerPoint file should be submitted with the subject PPT PARTICIPANT ORAL PRESENTATION PIT 2025 via email: karyailmiahPIT2025@gmail.com. The email should include the main author’s full name (with academic titles), co-author(s) full name(s) (with academic titles), title, institution and city, as well as contact number (HP/WA).
    • E-Poster :

    The E-Poster should be submitted with the subject: E-POSTER PIT 2025 via email: karyailmiahPIT2025@gmail.com before July 29, 2025, at 3:00 PM WIB. No revisions will be accepted after this date.

    1. The E-Poster will be displayed on an LCD screen with the following specifications: 
      • Language: Indonesian
      • Format: JPG (portrait orientation, 1 page)
      • Resolution: 1920 x 1080 pixels
      • Font size: Minimum 16
      • File size: 10-20 MB
      • Include images or tables that are informative and easy to understand
      • No video or audio features are supported
      • Harmonious and good color composition
    2. Presenters are expected to stand next to the LCD screen during the E-Poster presentation. Time and location will be announced later.
    3. Research E-Poster and Case Report must include:
      • Identity with the main author's and co-authors' full names and institutions
      • Title written in full capital letters
      • Research E-Poster should include Introduction/Background, Research Methods, Research Results, Discussion, Conclusion, and References
      • Case Report E-Poster should include Introduction/Background, Case Report, Discussion, Conclusion, and References
    4. Maximum 0f 10 references in the E-Poster
    5. Presenters must bring a soft copy of the E-Poster during the PIT event.
  • 4 Letter of Willingness

    To all participants of the Scientific Paper Competition (Poster/Oral Presentation), please fill out the Free Paper Willingness Form - ISBN and choose whether you are willing or not to have your paper included in the proceeding book (ISBN). The completed Free Paper Willingness Form - ISBN should be sent to the email karyailmiahPIT2025@gmail.com before August 30, 2025.
